Suleiman remains in detention and is scheduled to appear in Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday to be charged with all of the charges.

On Thursday, just one day following the Golders Green attack, the UK government boosted the threat level for terror in the country to severe, which is the second-highest rating possible. Officials said they believed the level has been growing “for some time” and stressed that the increase is “not solely” a consequence of the incident on Wednesday.
Level of threat: Extreme. A severe threat level indicates that an attack is deemed to be highly probable. This is the second-highest level of the five possible levels that are used by government officials in the UK government.
Metropolitan Police response and Jewish community security
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley appeared on BBC Breakfast and confirmed he has submitted a formal plan to the government that outlines the resources needed to effectively protect Jewish communities throughout London.
“There are constructive conversations with the government, and they understand we need to move at real speed. Dragging resources from other duties across London isn’t long-term sustainable.”
Sir Mark said that the police force is looking into a strategy to hire 300 more officers who are dedicated to community protection; however, he did not provide the estimated cost of the plan.

Demand for restraint of the public while the investigation continues
Commanding Officer Helen Flanagan, head of Counter Terrorism Policing London, released a statement in which she urged the public not to engage in making up stories about the incident so it can be resolved so that “justice can run its course.” She also confirmed that special officers are still assisting the victims as their recoveries progress.
