Seventeen years since their last collaboration, Akshay Kumar as well as director Priyadarshan are back together to make Bhoot Bangla which is a Hindi horror comedy that is brimming with slapstick comedy, nostalgia as well as supernatural intrigue. The film reintroduces the signature chaos and comedy of the ensemble that was once the hallmark of their legendary collaborations.
Officially named Bhooth Bangla (meaning Haunted Mansion) The film is made by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor under Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films.
About Bhoot Bangla Movie
Bhoot Bangla is founded on Indian legends and mythology, taking inspiration from texts that date back to The Vedas as well as the Mahabharata.
The story is about a man who is granted a mysterious castle located in rural Mangalpur. The bride of his sister is planning her wedding there but he is soon caught in a series of strange and supernatural happenings. In the midst of fear and terror, the entire village and the residents, he must discover the dark secrets hidden in the mansion that is haunted.
The core of the story lies the terrifying tale that tells the tale of Vadhusur as well as an entire village possessed by a terrifying force. The film combines terror with emotional storytelling, slowly unraveling the layers of the background.

Final Verdict (Takeaway)
Bhoot Bangla is seen among the top awaited Bollywood movies of 2026. principally due to Priyadarshan and Akshay Kumar’s reunion. Akshay Kumar as well as Priyadarshan.
The film delivers humor, nostalgia and strong performances particularly in the first half. But, the second half has a difficult time with its the pace and lackluster background.
For those who love classic Priyadarshan comedy films and family-friendly entertainers Bhoot Bangla provides a memorable theatrical experience even when it’s not quite up to the awe-inspiring quality of their previous successes.
