Former India captain Kapil Dev has advised cricket fans, selectors, and the media not to place excessive expectations on teenage batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi. While praising the youngster’s extraordinary talent, Kapil stressed that too much hype at an early stage could create unnecessary pressure and affect his development as a cricketer.
The 1983 World Cup-winning captain said Vaibhav possesses exceptional ability, but he should be allowed to grow naturally without being burdened by constant comparisons and expectations.
