The Indian government has strongly rejected Pakistan’s allegations linking India to the recent militant attack in Karachi, describing the claims as “baseless” and urging Islamabad to take action against terrorist networks operating within its own territory.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) issued a sharp response after certain Pakistani officials and media reports alleged an Indian connection to the attack on a Sindh Rangers facility in Karachi. New Delhi dismissed the accusations and said Pakistan should focus on addressing its internal security challenges.
MEA Calls Allegations ‘Baseless’
Responding to media queries, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal categorically rejected the allegations made by Pakistan.
“We have seen Pakistani reports making baseless allegations against India regarding the recent incident in Karachi. We categorically reject them,” the spokesperson said.
India further stated that Pakistan should stop blaming external actors and instead take credible action against terrorist infrastructure operating within its borders.
‘Look Inwards,’ India Tells Pakistan
In a strong diplomatic message, India urged Pakistan to address terrorism within its own territory rather than making accusations against other countries.
The MEA said Pakistan should “look inwards” and dismantle terror networks that continue to operate from its soil. Indian officials also criticized Islamabad for what they described as a tendency to use terrorism as an instrument of state policy.
Karachi Attack Triggers Tensions
The controversy emerged after militants attacked a Sindh Rangers compound in Karachi. Pakistani security forces later launched an operation against the attackers, resulting in casualties among security personnel and militants.
Following the attack, some Pakistani officials alleged foreign involvement and attempted to link India to the incident, claims that New Delhi has firmly denied.
Pakistan Officials Point Finger at India
Reports from Pakistan indicated that certain members of the country’s establishment, including senior officials, suggested an Indian role in the Karachi attack without publicly presenting evidence.
Indian officials responded by stating that such allegations were unsubstantiated and appeared to divert attention from Pakistan’s own security issues.
India Emphasizes Counter-Terror Action
New Delhi reiterated that meaningful action against terrorism remains essential for regional peace and stability.
The government said Pakistan should take verifiable and credible measures against terror groups and infrastructure operating within its territory instead of making allegations against neighboring countries.
Diplomatic Tensions Continue
The latest exchange adds to the longstanding tensions between India and Pakistan over issues related to terrorism, cross-border security, and regional stability.
Both countries have frequently accused each other over security incidents in the past, but India has maintained that Pakistan must take stronger action against extremist organizations operating from its soil.

Regional Security Concerns Remain
Security experts believe that continued instability and militant attacks within Pakistan highlight the need for stronger counter-terror measures and regional cooperation.
The Karachi attack has once again brought attention to security challenges in the region and the importance of preventing militant violence.
As diplomatic exchanges continue, India has made it clear that it rejects any attempt to link it to the Karachi incident and expects Pakistan to focus on combating terrorism within its own borders.
