The battle with Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals has become an all-out thriller in the last over as Delhi trying to keep fighting despite losing crucial wickets in the middle of the overs.
In the earlier innings, Noor Ahmed provided a crucial break for CSK by removing Ashutosh Sharma. Although Ashutosh was able to counterattack by attempting a boundary and the six of his own, Noor returned to be caught behind depth sweeper coverage with Anshul Kamboj. At the time, DC were struggling at 149/6 following 14.5 overs. They needed 64 runs from just 31 balls.
The pressure increased as Jamie Overton struck again, disqualifying Auqib Nabi. In the process of trying to hit a big shot Auqib did not time his shot correctly but was caught in the middle by Akeal Hosein who hung on to a difficult reverse cup despite a tense fall.

The game however changed dramatically because of Tristan Stubbs, who has been the mainstay in Delhi’s chase. The fast bowler scored fifty runs in only 30 balls. He has kept DC’s hopes alive by delivering strong hitting and clever moving between wickets. The presence of the batsman assured that CSK isn’t able to relax for long.
And that’s the body blow that CSK were looking for. Overton bowls this fuller and with pace on. Stubbs tries going over mid-off but does not get it enough. Noor takes a good catch as DC’s hopes seem to have vanished now. 30 needed off 9 balls.
With Overton ready to bowl, and apparently having a niggle with his lower back, the game is in doubt. The spotlight is focused on Stubbs who is the main player in this high-pressure final.
