The NEET PG Result 2026 has been declared by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), bringing an end to the wait for thousands of medical aspirants seeking admission to postgraduate medical programmes. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their NEET PG rank and score through the official NBEMS website.
The result was declared on September 24, 2026, ahead of the earlier scheduled deadline of September 30. The result includes candidates’ raw scores and overall All India Rank. NBEMS has also released the qualifying cut-off for different categories.
NEET PG Result 2026: How to Check Rank and Score
Candidates can access the NEET PG 2026 result through the NEET PG section of the official NBEMS website. The result has been released in PDF format and contains important details including the candidate’s application number, roll number, score and NEET PG rank.
To check the result, candidates should visit the official NBEMS website and open the NEET PG 2026 section. They can then access the result link and search the PDF using their roll number.
The result document also provides the All India 50% Quota rank and category rank, where applicable. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details mentioned against their application information.
NEET PG 2026 Topper Scores 641 Marks
The topper list has also brought a major highlight this year. The candidate with roll number 26661005596 secured All India Rank 1 with 641 marks out of 720. The second-ranked candidate scored 633 marks, while the third-ranked candidate secured 626 marks.
According to the released topper data, the top 20 candidates scored between 614 and 641 marks. The figures give candidates an indication of the level of competition in this year’s postgraduate medical entrance examination.
NEET PG 2026 Cut-Off Marks Released
Along with the result, NBEMS has announced the qualifying cut-off scores for NEET PG 2026. The examination this year was evaluated out of 720 marks.

These are qualifying cut-offs, meaning that meeting the minimum marks makes a candidate eligible for the next stage. They should not be confused with the closing ranks for specific MD, MS or other postgraduate courses, which will depend on counselling, category, college, specialty and seat availability.
NEET PG Scorecard 2026: Important Date
While the result and ranks have already been announced, candidates will have to wait for their individual NEET PG scorecards. According to the result-related information released after the declaration, individual scorecards will be available from October 1, 2026, or thereafter, through the NBEMS website.
The answer key and individual response-related information are also scheduled to be made available from October 1. Candidates will be able to use the information to review their performance and understand the marks awarded for individual questions.
Over 2.65 Lakh Candidates Appeared
The NEET PG 2026 examination was conducted on August 30. A re-examination was subsequently held on September 5 for candidates affected by problems at examination centres in Jaipur. Reports citing NBEMS data put the number of candidates who appeared across the examination phases at around 2.66 lakh.
The examination is used for admission to postgraduate medical courses including MD, MS, DNB, DrNB Direct 6-year courses and PG Medical Diploma programmes for the 2026-27 academic session.

What After NEET PG Result 2026?
Candidates who meet the qualifying criteria can now prepare for the NEET PG counselling process. Seat allocation will depend on the applicable counselling authority, candidate rank, category, choices filled, specialty preferences and availability of seats.
The qualifying cut-off alone does not guarantee admission to a particular medical college or speciality. Candidates will need to participate in the relevant counselling process and complete choice filling and other required formalities within the prescribed schedule.
For now, candidates should download or save the result information available online and keep their application and roll number details ready for the scorecard and counselling stages.
