Breaking News Live Updates: NTA Declares NEET UG 2026 Results; Over 11.21 Lakh Candidates Qualify

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially declared the NEET UG 2026 results, bringing an end to the wait for nearly 20 lakh medical aspirants across the country. Candidates can now download their scorecards from the official NEET portal using their application number and login credentials. More than 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for the undergraduate medical entrance examination.

Over 11.21 Lakh Candidates QualifyNta

According to the NTA, over 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified in this year’s examination, with women accounting for more than 58 percent of the successful candidates. The result reflects strong competition among aspirants seeking admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other undergraduate medical courses across India.

Top Performers and Highest Scores

This year’s NEET UG witnessed an impressive performance from top-ranking candidates. Aryan Gupta of Punjab and Panshul Bansal of Haryana emerged as the joint toppers with 715 marks out of 720, while 19 candidates scored above 700 marks, highlighting the high level of competition in the examination.

How to Check the Scorecard

Candidates can access their NEET UG 2026 scorecards by visiting the official NTA website and logging in with their application number and password. The scorecard includes the candidate’s marks, All India Rank, percentile, qualifying status, and other important details required for the admission process.

Counselling Process to Begin Soon

With the declaration of the results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the counselling schedule for All India Quota seats shortly. Qualified candidates will be able to participate in counselling for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other medical courses based on their rank and eligibility. State counselling authorities will also release separate schedules for state quota admissions.

Cut-Off Marks Also Released

The NTA has released the category-wise qualifying cut-off marks along with the results. Experts believe the cut-offs have increased compared to the previous year due to improved overall performance and tougher competition among candidates. Aspirants are advised to carefully check the qualifying criteria before registering for counselling.

NTA Advises Candidates to Beware of Fraud

The National Testing Agency has cautioned students against fraudulent calls, emails, and websites claiming to offer admissions or improved scores in exchange for money. Candidates have been advised to rely only on official announcements issued through the NTA and MCC websites for all admission-related updates.
